Herbert Heilpern

President of the German-American Soccer League of New York from 1970 to 1973, and a prime mover in that league’s early association with the North American Soccer League and the New York Cosmos. Served as soccer coordinator for the city of New York, helping to develop soccer facilities in the city, and was heavily involved with both the German-American Junior Soccer League and the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association. Inducted in 1988.
