Founder of the Football Association of Pennsylvania

A college coach involved in the founding of the United States Football Association. Stewart, who was a soccer coach at the University of Pennsylvania from 1910 to 1942, played an important role in the organizing of the USFA in 1913. Served from 1913 to 1926 as president of the Football Association of Pennsylvania, which he had helped to found in 1903. Editor for many years of the Spalding college soccer guide. Inducted in 1950.
