U.S. Men's Soccer Shocks England and the World

One of the first cataclysmic upsets in FIFA World Cup history took place in 1950 when a powerhouse England team that was expected to contend for the title was beaten by the scrappy United States squad composed of part-time players. Often referred to as one of the greatest upsets in sports history, soccer faithful know it better as the "Miracle on Grass."

1999 U.S. Womens Team Wins the World Cup on PKs

With a perfect, left-footed shot, Brandi Chastain entered her name in the history books. Her game-winning penalty kick against China in the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup catapulted women's soccer into the national spotlight. It capped off the second World Cup win for U.S. soccer.

Late Goal Gives U.S. Life in FIFA World Cup 2010

The U.S. Men's National Team was on the verge of being eliminated during Group Play in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It needed a win over Algeria to advance to the Round of 16. With only seconds remaining, Landon Donovan tucked home the winning goal on a rebound propelling the U.S team into the round of 16.
