Frisco, Texas– The National Soccer Hall of Fame at Toyota Stadium received another honor today as the World Football Summit announced that the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience is a finalist for Best Venue in the 2019 WFS Industry Awards. Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA join the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience in the category.
“We’re thrilled at the recognition the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience has received since it opened to the public on November 2, 2018,” said National Soccer Hall of Fame Executive Director Djorn Buchholz. “It combines facial recognition, virtual reality and gesture technology with iconic artifacts of the game to create an experience unlike any other in sports.”
In May, the National Soccer Hall of Fame won the American Alliance of Museums Media and Technology Network’s Gold Muse Award for Research and Innovation for its facial recognition software powered by NEC.
The WFS Industry Awards ceremony is Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Madrid, Spain.
